BUCCANEERS IN FALL CUP FINAL – TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 27
The Toronto Dragons played host to the Buccaneers this past Saturday, with the winner earning a berth in the final on September 27. While the Dragons struggled for numbers, the Buccaneers were fortunate to be able to lend the Dragons an entire front row, plus the services of Bucs speed-merchant Shaquille Edwards. It was a spirited game, but the Bucs won comfortably 74 – 7. Full credit to the Bucs front row of Baby Huey, Jacob the Aussie and Pirate Dan who all put in a solid 80 minutes on behalf of the Dragons, and Shaq, who scored the lone try, and made the difficult conversion kick to boot!
The Buccaneers also welcomed their newest club member, Cian Byrne-Hansen, who played a full 80 minutes at loose head prop in his debut game for the Bucs and had a great match!
The Bucs thank the Dragons for being fine hosts at their pub after the match and look forward to meeting them on the pitch next season in league action.
The Buccaneers now await for their opponent in the Fall Cup final, which will be against the winner of Saracens vs. Mississauga Blues, being played this Saturday, September 13.
It is anticipated the Fall Cup championship will be held at Fletcher’s Fields, but details will be confirmed later.
GO BUCS!
