PRESIDENT’S DAY!!!!
Gentlemen, the time draws near, October 15th has been slated for this year’s President’s Day! For those new to the Buccaneers many seniors players will tell you that the annual President’s Day tradition is a day much like Christmas.
Steeped in tradition going back over 15 years, the Buccaneers gather early at the Leaside Pub to listen to sound of Uncle Param pouring frosty suds. They then stumble their way to the designated field where the President and Captain select their teams and face off in a silly hat challenge match for the ever coveted President’s Cup. All participants must wear a silly hat while playing, and no try scored counts unless that hat is being worn.
Afterwards the Buccaneers stumble back to the Leaside Pub to listen to Unlce Param pour even more frosty suds, and enjoy the merriment of the 2016 “Awards of Distinction” being handed out.
An occassion not to be missed, come on out and don’t forget your hat!
