BUCS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
January 27, 2018 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Event Navigation
Buccaneers,
It is that time of year again, our annual general meeting (AGM) is scheduled for Saturday, January 20th at 1:30pm. It is being held once again in Peter Ratcliffe’s office (330 University Ave), but a different room from previous years. Instructions will follow closer to the meeting.
As most of you know this is the meeting where we elect our executive for the 2018 year. Any member in good standing is able to stand for election and vote at this meeting, including social members and “Life” members (Hall of Fame).
The positions up for election for one (1) year terms are:
Director – Social
Director – Fixtures
Director – Communications
Director – Recruitment
The positions up for election for two (2) year terms are:
Vice-President Junior Development (currently vacant)
The following positions were filled in 2017 for two (2) year terms and as such are not up for election:
President (Brian Crothers)
Vice-President Senior Men’s Rugby (Chris Burt)
Vice-President Finance (Dean Spencer)
Club Secretary (Sean Webb)
Nominations:
To stand for election to an available position, you must be nominated and seconded by a member in good standing. Incumbents are automatically re-nominated if they chose to stand for election again as a courtesy, but the positions are still considered “open”, so please do not let that dissuade you from running.
Below are the available positions and any currently nominated candidate:

Please send any additional nominations, explicitly identifying the candidate, nominator, and seconder directly to Sean Webb at secretary@buccaneersrugby.com before 11:59pm on January 19, 2018.
If there is more than one candidate, we will conduct a vote during the AGM for any contested position.
Thank you.
