BUCS .500 AFTER 1st FOUR TESTS

The Buccaneers RFC stand 2 – 2 after their first 4 matches of the season, having lost Saturday June 13th to the Orillia Dingoes RFC in a hard fought affair. At the half it was 7 – 7 in an evenly contested match, but Orillia would score another converted try and two penalties in the second half, while keeping the Bucs off the scoresheet, ending the match 20 – 7.  Bucs flanker Gideon Haasbroek scored their only try, with flyhalf Simon Cooper converting. Although a loss, it was a marked improvement from the Bucs drubbing they suffered at the hands of Cobourg the previous weekend.  Just a few errant passes in Saturday's match against the Dingoes were all the difference from the Bucs backline putting tries on the board and opening up the game.  The Dingoes must be given full credit for their aggressive defence and commitment to finishing their tackles.

The Bucs next travel to Cobourg on June 20th to take on the Saxons RFC.  Kick-off is 3 pm.
