BUCCS FALL TO BROCK
With only one game for the day the Buccs took the field north of Toronto to face the Brock RFC. A quick try within the first few plays put the Buccs down early, and Brock took advantage hammering home an additional two tries in the first 25 minutes to put the Buccs down 19-0. With grim determination the Buccs rallied back, scoring three tries themselves before the end of the half to bring the score in their favour to 21-19.
The second half saw both sides settle down, and despite the hard effort from all Buccs players Brock managed to put another try and penalty kick on the board. Final score Buccs 21, Brock 29.
Man of the match honours went to fly half Colin Alexander, who played strong all game converting three tries and marshalling the back line to strong runs.
Out thanks to Brock for hosting, and congratulations on a solid game.
Next up is the Buccs home opener of the season at Sunnybroook Park versus the York Yeoman this Saturday June 4th. Second team will begin at 1:30pm followed by the first at 3:00pm.
Let’s all get out to practice this week and ensure we’re in top form to take two wins away on Saturday for our home crowd.
