Just because President’s Day is done doesn’t mean that we are! The Bucc’s are pleased to announce two upcoming social events for the holiday season.

The first will be another chance to show off all those skilled you’ve learned from sitting on the couch watching the World Series of Poker. That’s right, shuffle up and deal Buccaneers, it’s time for Buccaneers Poker VII.

December 3rd at the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Club on Broadview.

That’s one block north of Queen on the west side of Broadview. $50 buy in and $5 for beer tickets. 7:00pm doors open. First hand will be dealt at 8pm, with additional buy-ins of $50 available until 9pm. Format is no limit, with players competing against their fellow table mates (approx 8 per depending on numbers). Winners of each initial table will advance to the final table for the shot at the big money. All players reaching the final table are entitled to their $50 back, with the winner taking home the majority share of the remainder.

In addition to the poker, the Army, Navy, Air Force Veterans Club offers many additional distractions. Don’t like Poker? Come out anyway and sample the fine inexpensive domestic beverages, or watch the Leafs try not to lose on one of TWO screens almost purchased in this millennium. Or throw some Darts with Joey and try not to slip on the floor. There’s something for everyone. In addition we will be making charitable donations to the less fortunate Ballet School located next door.

It’s the Captain’s Xmas Pub Crawl!

What better way to ring in the holidays than drinking with a bunch of dudes dressed as Santa? Come on out and spread some holiday cheer.

Now in it’s third iteration the tradition of menacing the Toronto city streets and bars via TTC is back again.

This event is strictly for club players and old boys only! Sorry ladies, send the kids to the neighbours, we going to the bar and we’re coming home loaded.

The evening will kick off as per usual at the Captain’s house for some questionable cider concoctions beginning at 6:30pm. If you don’t know where the Captain lives, then find him or another club member and ask. We will depart the Captain’s house at some unspecified time and begin our journey on the Vomit Comit to secret watering hole locations throughout the night.

Cost for the evening is $20 which will include your TTC pass and xmas gear. Anyone who has partaken in this event before and has still managed to hold on to their Xmas swag is encouraged to bring it along, stained or otherwise.
