2014 rugby season is upon us Gents! Thanks to a lot of great work from our past executives our club is in great shape organization wise – but we obviously have no where to go but up in regards to on field success. I want our club members to know the executive committee is working hard and meeting monthly to get prepared for a great spring & summer of Buccaneers rugby. Our executive is fully focused on improving our game results over last season. Rest assured good things are a brewin’ for our rugby club.

In the meantime, we have two massive, and bloody fun Buccaneers rugby team events coming up – Bucs Poker Tourney Saturday Feb 8 at the Army Navy Air Force Club 128 Broadview. Doors open at 7 pm and the first hands will be dealt shortly after! It’s far and away our best fundraiser, so get your butt out there and bring a friend! Even if you don’t play poker, the booze and beers are affordable (which we also make a few bucks on) and it’s lots of laughs watching the boys lose their money.

The second event is the Buccaneers Registration Day – March 15 at the Fox and Fiddle, 190 Laird Drive. There are three 6 Nations games on live – as well online registration will be available.

The Fox and Fiddle is playing ALL 6 Nations games LIVE throughout February and March! The schedule is on the Bucs website. Great excuse to come down for a pint – and the Fox, as our main sponsor pub, gives our club a healthy kickback for each dollar we spend there (be sure to tell your server your with the Buccaneers)!
