In the last regular season game, with a hard fought win over a tough Etobicoke side, the Buccaneers secured top place in the TRU B West division, and thus take the division championship! Belleville RFC won the TRU B East division. Both clubs will be promoted to the TRU A division for the 2016 rugby season. A league championship is truly an entire club accomplishment, not just a single team, with every Buccaneer member contributing to this feat.

Although the regular season may be over, there’s still plenty of rugby left to play! The Buccaneers Academy team will be hosting a Trinidad & Tobago U19 team this Thursday, August 13 at Sunnybrook Park. Kick-off at 6:45 pm. Practice will still be held for those not playing!

The first round of playoffs are set for Saturday August 15! Bucs 2 vs Bay St. 2, 1:30 pm kick-off at Sunnybrook, followed by Bucs 1 vs Bay St. 1, 3 pm kick-off at Sunnybrook.
