Play Rugby? Give Blood.

The 2024 first annual “Play Rugby? Give Blood.” Rugby Club Blood Drive Challenge is underway! From now through till December 1st 2024, Toronto Buccaneers Rugby Club, Toronto Scottish RFC, Toronto Nomads RFC, and the G.I.T.S. RFC, are challenging our members, families, and friends to donate blood with Canadian Blood Services. The need is great, blood supplies are low, and local Toronto rugby players are stepping up to help!

UofT Men’s Rugby Social – Sat Oct 5

We had lots of young Buccaneers from UofT playing on our Senior men’s team this summer. Let’s get out and support them for their home game and Alumni day versus Trent University on Saturday Oct 5, 2024. We’ve also booked a blood donation slot before the game, close by at Yonge & Bloor in support of the “Play Rugby? Give Blood.” campaign!

HoF & Awards Dinner 2024 – Sat Nov 2

Players, alumni, friends and family, please join us for the 2024 Hall of Fame & Awards Dinner. We will be hosting a private dinner event at Amsterdam Barrel House in Leaside. We will be handing out awards, having dinner, and enjoying a few drinks afterwards to celebrate one of the best TRU season finishes.

All Buccaneers are encouraged to bring their spouses/partners, friends and family. Dinner tickets are $70 per person, which includes a 3 course buffet dinner. There will be a consumption bar with individual tabs for drinks. You can secure your tickets by etransfer to treasurer@buccaneersrugby.com.

Dress Code: dress shirt and club tie for all players; upscale for guests (club ties will be available for purchase)

The Buccaneers Executive Committee are very pleased to announce that former President, James “Jimmy” Phillips, will be the 2024 Hall of Fame inductee. With 25 years as a Buccaneer, James has served on the Executive Committee for a number of years and has also been the Captain, MVP, Rookie of the Year and Coach/Founder of the Buccaneers Junior Program in 2012 alongside current President, Richie.

President’s Day 2024 has been finalized for Saturday November 23, 2024. We’re meeting at The Leaside Pub for 11AM! There will be a full day of international fixtures for the Autumn Nation Series on TV at The Leaside Pub:
