BUCCS 2010 PHILADELPHIA TOUR

Philadelphia Tour 2010

The 2010 Buccaneers tour to Philadelphia has, in my eyes, kicked off the season in the best possible way by starting off on the right foot of how we want to be; strong competitors with a great social aspect.

New rookies were worked hard and have successfully fitted into the team; the team bonded over polite conversation and sociable drinks and became a tighter unit because of it.

Only one game was played down in the States, and while the result did not go our way it produced some very positive results which I believe will make us a tough team to beat this year. The backs handling was impressive and the forwards dominated the scrums.

The man of the match was ‘Rookie’ Frank Le Duc and tries were scored by Ritchie Williams, Aaron Barber, Dean Spencer, James Philips (2)

Big thanks goes out to Buccs organizer Tim Morton and to North Penn RFC for being great hosts and arranging a very educational tour of the city. Special mention goes out to our coach driver Clarke, who had to put up with 22 Buccaneers for a long weekend.

To sum it all up we went away, we drank a couple of beers and we played some rugby.

Anyone wishing to know more about the tour…….should have bloody well come along with us!

Stay classy Philadelphia.
