The Buccaneers RFC hosted Brock RFC Saturday May 15 in what was both clubs’ season opener. It was a hard fought match and after 70 minutes, the score was tied 10 all. But it was Brock who’d score last and hold off the Buccs rally to win 15 – 10.

There were many fine performances by Buccs team member throughout the game, however Man of the Match honours were awarded to rookie Joey Neglia, who completed his first full rugby game.

In other club news, Cobourg I beat the Dragons I, the Blues I won against North Halton I, and it was Orillia I over Yeomen I. The Bucs travel to North Halton May 29 to play 1st and 2nd team matches.
