BUCCS TRAINING AND KIT AMNESTY
Please be advised that as of tomorrow (Tuesday), training is moving to Sunnybrook Park for the remainder of the season. Sunnybrook is located at the corner of Eglinton and Leslie, with the entrance off Leslie, across from the car dealership.
If you are walking, just follow the main road, veering to the right, until you reach a parking lot on the right that has a set of stairs leading to the rugby fields. Please find a map here. As noted, you can park there as well if driving.
Please note that since it is a long weekend, there are no games scheduled. As a result, there will be no training session on Thursday. Instead, a number of Buccaneers will retire to the Fox & Fiddle (Leaside) to discuss the finer points of the game and to discuss strategy over beverages. As a result, the coach expects everyone to make it out to training Tuesday night.
We had a great win on Saturday, and a very gutsy performance from the Seconds, so let’s keep the momentum going.
Kit Amnesty
As part of our on going effort to support Marc Garneau Junior Rugby we will be running a kit donation evening this Tuesday.
Many of these young lads do not have the correct rugby kit to train or play in, and many turn up to practice in tshirts and basketball shorts which don’t have the strength to last in a game of rugby.
We ask all Buccaneers to search through their old kit and donate anything that they are no longer using, from cleats through to jerseys. Bear in mind that these are high school kids so that old XXL jersey you may have probably won’t work out for them!
