Gents – just a reminder that we’ll be meeting Saturday at the Leaside Pub (190 Laird Ave.) at 3 pm to CARPOOL to the Ajax game @ Oshawa Civic Recreation Centre, 99 Thornton Rd.

Be sure to bring your cleats, rugby shorts and mouth guard.  Team socks will be provided to new players (yours to keep) and we’ll have two sets of team jerseys to dress two full teams.  The game is 3 x 30 min periods, with rolling subs (unlimited subs and players can come off and go back on later).

Those going directly there please be there for 4:30 pm.  Kick-off at 5:15 pm.

Also, many of you may know already that our club captain, Gideon Haasbroek, is currently recovering from an injury and plans to be back on the pitch soon.  Coach Drew, coach Lee and Gideon have selected Christopher Burt as interim captain.  Burt will be leading us on the pitch this Saturday and going forward until Gids is ready to make his return to action.

With the warmer weather coming up we hope to see lots of you at practice Tuesday and Thursday.  If you’re going to miss practice, text Chris Burt or coach Lee Yarnton.  Everyone has busy lives and we understand not everyone can make it to every practice, but when you can’t come take a moment to let Chris or Lee know so that plans for practice (drills, team run throughs, etc.) can be modified in advance, depending on numbers.
