BUCS WIN BIG

The Buccaneers RFC hosted Bay Street RFC on Saturday, July 25 at Fletcher's Fields.  The Bay Street club has been playing better rugby lately and their beefy pack are always a handful to deal with.  However, the Bucs, despite some ball handling problems in the first half, would come out winners at the final whistle, 45 – 12.  The Bucs front row played a great game, with lots of help from the engine room.  Locks Sean Webb and Fraser Cooke make a formidable pair in the second row and both hustled around the pitch in the loose.

TRIES: Aaron Barber (2), Tony Currie, Brian Crothers, Dan Pistor, Chris Duggan and Duane Farrell

CONVERTS: Aaron Barber (5)

Man of the match: Bucs flanker Gideon Haasbroek earned this week's honours with his usual team-leading tackle count and major territory gained running with the ball.

The Buccaneers RFC look forward to hosting the Orillia Dingoes on August 8th.  A Buccaneers second team match is also slated with an opponent to be named later.
