PINK LADIES DAY SUCCESS
Despite disruptions caused by G20 meetings, terrible weather, pitch and timing changes the day proved to be a success due to determined supporters and players from the Buccaneers and Yeolions.
For its second year the fundraiser brought friends and families of players out to support the worthwhile cause of raising money for our chosen charity “Rethink Breast Cancer”. Although we did not break last years total we still dug deep and managed to raise an impressive $1403.41 from raffling tickets and donations from many individuals.
Many thanks to everyone who turned up wearing pink to support the cause and a big thank you to our prize donators such as;
– Brook from the Felines who donated her game worn Rugby Canada Jersey
– Param, our friendly pub landlord who donated 2 TFC tickets
– Ryding Regency for Blue Jays baseball tickets
– The newlywed Browns for their personal prize donations
– Carlos and his LCBO contacts for the sports bags and drinks
Other kind donations were received from Samantha Kindree of Fosters wine estates, Danny Malatesta of Rothsay Recycles and Christian Hummel of Moore Packaging Corp.
Heres hoping for an even more successful Pink Ladies Day in 2011!!!
