Happy New Year Buccaneers!

Our new Executive team for the 2014 season is set and we’re already off to the races with plans for the next few months.

Our first social event of the year will be our annual Poker Tournament, held this year on February 8th at the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans club located at 128 Broadview Ave. Doors open at 7pm, with first hand dealt at 8pm. $50 buy in, with additional buy in’s available for the first hour. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your gambling face, all are welcome. There will also be an informal darts tourney for those not interested in playing cards.

February also marks Six Nations rugby time, with this year’s kick off scheduled for February 1st when Wales takes on Italy, Scotland plays Ireland and France heads to England. All games will be shown at our sponsor bar the Fox and Fiddle Leaside. Stay tuned for more details.

Wrapping up the list of events, we’ve announced our registration day on St. Patrick’s Day weekend March 15th. More details to come, as this year Rugby Canada has instituted a new online registration system. We still prefer the fun of getting together to drink and filling out forms however, so come on out for some pints at the Fox and Fiddle Leaside and catch some Six Nation rugby while you’re at it.
