In an incredibly tight back and forth match, the Buccaneers were able to edge out the Toronto Saracens RFC 33-31 in the Keenan Plate Championship.

In a clean, but hard fought battle, every inch was earned by each squad.   Both clubs showed character and resiliency as the game momentum seemed to shift every quarter.   But in the end it would be the Buccaneers who finished out the game in style, coming back 14-31 down to clinch the championship 33-31 on a last minute intercept try.

Flanker Mikhail Groenewald, and full back Mario Suminovic deserve honourable mentions as man-of-the-match, however it was winger Lambrechts Schreuder who took the honours with a hat trick of tries and four conversions for a final tally of 23 points.

Great way to cap off the 2018 season!
